Hows Nissan new 350Z standard compare to Honda S2000? Any opinion?

not having driven either, I'd say it'll be more practical, handle worse,
accelerate faster and more flexibly, and look nicer. :)

From what I've read, the S2000 is quite a twitchy beast, the motor is
marvellous, though peaky for a VTEC (compared to the Type R's for
example). The 350Z may be more rewarding to drive and better balanced,
but I'll wait for a review from a mag I trust. Not being a convertible
for a start has obvious benefits.

The trouble with probability is that it's only right most of the time.

I don't know but the stands at the show for nissan were boring as hell. All
that floor space and not much to show for it.

Agreed.

The open space did allow me to get good photos though :)

I heard the S2000 handled like shit... (from a couple of magazine reviews).

I haven't seen one review of the S2000 saying it handled like shit. All said
it handles superbly.

Perhaps you should re-read them...

Most reports I have read (here and overseas) seem rather unimpressed by the
first series S2000's handling.
