reworking powersupply to the AGP port on An Asus P5A

Does anyone know if this can be done on the P5A? I've read on www.rivazone.com
that there's a way to rework the power supply to the agp slot to supply enough
current for the newer agp cards to function properly. And it gives a link to
an Asus site that explains how to do this, but it says for a P2B or something
like that. Does anyone know if the P5A uses a linear regulator or a switching
one and if this can be done on this board? Thanks,
