I'd guess she goes about 130.

Hard top goes closer to 150 .. I can't no how no way military press 200
but I handle the top ok by myself.

The other thing is little stuff adds up. Tools only weigh maybe 30.
High
lift somewhere in there. Doesn't seem like much but they sneak up on
you
and my jeep is never empty unless I'm in it cleaning.

You need more goodies on it then. Keep adding until you've reached 4000
pounds :) Skid plates and tools get you there quickly!

4570 or so packed for two weeks in Moab. Before the suspension, before the big tires, before the BP bumper....etc. (back
when I ran stock)

I am looking fowards to TSF this weekend - I've been wanting to hit the scales see what the weight is now with the new stuff
on.

My TJ is 4,100 lbs exactly according to the truck scale. Soft top, no
one inside, 1/4 full gas tank....

I wonder how often any one calibrates any of the scales we have used?

I was curious, looking for Ball Park not precision, but now I wonder if I was
off and how bad?

I Pulling it with an Exploder next week, and wanted to make sure.

dunno, I _think_ Jerry (or someone else here) went and used a CAT scale at a truck stop. Those are calibrated. I usually
use the old (and rarely open) weigh stations on the highways out here. I know you can use the ones at the dumps, but I dont
know if they are free or not.

That's what I used, a certified truck scale. Since he didn't have to do
any paperwork or print out the official weight ticket, I think I gave
him $2 to weigh my TJ. I was surprised when it said exactly 4,100
lbs... maybe it rounds to the nearest 100 lb. increment, I don't know
though.

They are supposed to be calibrated regularly. For example, if you go to
a CAT scale and weigh at legal limits (big trucks) and get an overweight
ticket, they will pay it. They have an incentive to have the scales
correct. Also, any scale that is used in commerce is regulated by big bro

My buddy and I flat towed my CJ5 with his 6 cyl explorer and did ok. We
towed it from Vegas to So Cal for one of the group runs. The CJ weighed
, if I remember right, 1.8 tons

I traded a 2500 V10 Ram in on the TJ, not use to doing math before a tow.

only math before I bought Gas or passed a gas station for that matter
