How would I log users off after a certain time of the day?

I'm running windows 2000 server in an active directory environment. I'm
hoping to use a GPO to implement this, although I'll accept any good
solution :)

Thanks!

This can also be achieved using task scheduler.
Have job that triggers at a particular time which logs all the users off.

It can ONLY done by using something other than a GPO. There is a GPO titled
"Logoff user when logon hours expires" but it only disables their ability to
establish new SMB connections to other servers. Any existing mapped drives
will continue to function, they'll still surf the internet, and they are
still at their desktop.

The newsgroups sometimes seem to indicate that this is one of the most
desired features, but there are a few management issues involved with it:
1) What to do about open documents/applications? Save, don't save,
force-exit, etc.
2) What about that stray time when user X is SUPPOSED to be staying late to
finish something.

While this is often asked for, this type of GPO could cause all sorts of
problems, and even if it were created and made available, would need to be
used carefully. The ramifications in some businesses for automatically
logging a user out at a specific time could cause more problems than the
benefits are worth (from a liability standpoint, but I'm no lawyer).

I'm in a school setting, so logging students off after school hours is
mandated by our board & superintendent...It works in our situation.

Thanks!
