I-129F Petition Expiration

Hello everyone

The I-129F petition I files for my wife's K3 visa expires next month.
I was wondering what that meant for the K3 Visa process.

The US Consulate in Bangladesh says they have received her DS-156 and
it may take up to 2 months for a visa interview date. That puts us
outside the petition expiration date.

Is the expiration date for filing the DS-156 or does the
interview/visa issue need to be done before this?

PS. Anyone out there dealt with the the US Consulate in Dhaka,
Bangladesh?

I don't think it's a problem so long as the consulate has received
your packet 3 and is processing your case. You might still want to
write a letter to the consulate and alert them that to this fact and
that you want them to extend the period of validity.
