I'm getting an access denied when starting the DHCP client
service. The service is set to Automatic with the NT
Authority\Networkservice account. There are a few other
servers with the same problem. I've searched everywhere
but can't seem to find a solution. Please help.

Is the machine set for DHCP IP address? If so, do you have a DHCP server on
the network - check it's event viewer messages to see if the DHCP server is
not sending NAKs for any reason.

The server is a Domain Controller, DHCP & DNS server.
Should the DHCP Client service be disabled? This system
was upgraded from Windows 2000 Server standard to Server
2003 standard.

Thank you

I figured it out. I had to apply the DC Secrutiy.inf
template to the registry using secedit. After that the
DHCP client service starts up fine.
