Since I prefer a stick that does not have spring centering tension, sounds
like I don't want to do this :) I thought the poster was suggesting that
the forces behave as expected after going to the calibration window. If
this is just to reenable the default spring centering then it is not what I
was hoping for, a fix for the screwed up force feedbasck effects. I know a
lot people prefer the spring tension, but it is actually one of my favorite
things about the FF stick - the ability to play without any centering
tension. Easier on the wrists, allows me to put the stick where I want
without having to fight it, and as far as I know real fly-by wire airplanes
don't use springs to center the stick (do they?). I know the light aircraft
I have flown don't use springs to center the yoke.
Okay, I will try it again. Yea, I agree the FF effect is kind of cheesy, but
at least in FS2002 and CFS2 I can trim the plane by feel.
Sims that model fly-by-wire planes should (and most often do) not load the
stick with aerodynamic forces.
