Next Meetup

Hey everypony,
I was just wondering when the next meetup will be. I figured it'll be
too soon to try to meet up this weekend, but as of this writing I have
nothing going on next sunday. How's everyone else doing?

grrr...... so... long story short, my shifts at work changed a bit and I start at 4pm now instead of 6pm. so anything on sundays, I won't be able to go to now...

If we were to do it on the 21st instead, I'd totally be able to go though. not sure about other's schedules though. If it's no good, then I'll just hope to see you all at ACEN :D

I have rehearsals on saturday for the film im working on. Thats only until 5 though plus I will be in the city (I think). Maybe we can meet up later in the day? Or maybe I can just join you after 5? If we meet Sunday, I have work at 4 too. So I could only go if we all met up earlier at like 11 or so.

I'm with RR, I have work on Saturdays and probably won't be able to
make it downtown until the afternoon. If we can change the time to a
later one in the day I think we'll all be able to get together.

Would 5:30 on Sat work out for everypony or is that a bit early?

If Im in the city, 530 would be good. But I don't think I will be. I would be leaving Orland Park at 5 so 6 will be better for me. Maybe we can all meet at a restaurant or something? Anypony a Hawks fan? I know game 5 is Sat night. Just a suggestion.

Again, I'm with Raccoon Rat here, I'd be off of work around 4 or 4:30
and if I catch the 5 metra train I should be downtown and at the UIC
stop 10 past 6.

Alright, I think 6:10 on the 21st is as good of a target as we're going to get. However, I'm going to need you all to come up with some ideas of where to go from there. I know of a little bar & grill nearby called Jaks Tap, good enough food but its awfully loud. Let's try and think of some things we can go and do. Also, I'm not a sports pony myself, but if there's a good plan I can bear such things for a while. Maybe a trip to a Buffalo Wild Wings sports bar? I do love them chickens...

6:10 would be perfect for me. Im driving so would I be able to park in one of the lots by the train stop we meet at? If so, about how much would it cost? As far as where we go to eat, I'll go anywhere.

I'm not sure where's good to park, I don't really think about it since I don't drive anymore. Maybe you'd be okay with carpooling everypony somewhere once we all arrive and parking thereabouts? If so, we could probably make it to the BWW and pick up an apple pie afterwards. The closest appears to be 2464 N. Lincoln Ave.

I'll just park in one of the lots by the station. Im alright with carpooling to BW3. I can only fit 4 in my car at the most though.

All of this sounds great. Also, what if we tried watching the season
finale somewhere together, just in case some of weren't able to see it
before the meetup?

I've got no clue how to reasonably go about that, but if you've got an idea I'm willing to hear it out. Also, I'd probably cut out around eight or so for another appointment I've got that night, so I dunno if I'd stay out as long as everypony else.

I can still rent out the projector I talked about in the other thread, if anyone has a place we can go (someone's house/apartment, an unused lounge or meeting area at UIC, some random blank wall with an outlet anywhere) we can hook up a laptop to it and watch it there.

If anypony has a suggestion for that, let's hear 'em, 'cause I can't think of any such thing that would work out, especially at that time of day.

Hey, sorry I've kind of afk here. 610 sounds great, I'll be driving too and around that time there should be plenty open spots near the station. I'll bring my laptop and backpack speakers with the finale on it so even if we Cant find a spot for a projector we can still watch it decently. As for a spot to actually setup a projector, I have no idea since I too don't go there. Let me know if I should bring anything else, see you then!

Just a little update.

We had a pretty good meet. 5 people. got some food, then afterwards some cookies and watched the finale!!!

We all LOVED it! Of the others there, care to chime in with things we discussed etc etc?

I gotta say, it was great to finally meet other Bronies in the area and talk FiM. Can't really do that with my other friends, lol. The wings were good, the cookies were tasty, and the finale was nothing short of phenomenal. Thanks to Scratch for driving and providing the labtop for viewing. Had a great time and look forward to doing it again soon! ooo..and my Hawks won too! :D

We were 4 for 4 today; Hawks, Sox, Cubs and Bulls. Good day for sports fans.

Hoping to make it to the next meetup myself. I've missed way too many of
them so far. :P But now I'm settled into my new place...hay, I might
consider having a meetup here at some point.

Yeah, hopefully by next meetup we'll be able to discuss our favorite moments of season 2 now that we've seen the finale.

Also, there was a Derpy cameo in this one, but she didn't have derped eyes.

Sorry I missed the last one. I ended up getting a really bad stomach virus and couldn't do anything then.

The finale was awesome! I've probably watched it like 10 times now and I still can't get enough. We should definitely do it again!
