Greetings Randy,I am 56 (time flies!) and besides being a wife, mother and grandmother I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Health Care Administration in the School of Public Leadership at Capella University. I wasn't even aware of wiki educator or open course/open content until less than a year ago- I can't remember the course or topic, but whatever it was just wasn't 'clicking'- I needed to understand the subject matter just to put in the right key words in the university library to add the needed content and references so naturally I googled it and lo and behold John Hopkins had an open course on that very topic!Naturally I became curious and that led me to Wiki. Finally to my reason for this far too detailed email: I just saw the email in which you were talking about how much you enjoyed the experience of doing your MA research entirely on Wiki and you brought up some interesting and thought-provoking points because since my experience last year, I am counting the days until I can hopefully become a real part of this spectacular group and hopefully help someone in the process. This was a perfect coincidence because you also brought up empowering at-risk youth and adults. I am at this moment working on my topic proposal and presentation for my dissertation (Evidence-Based Action Research) and my topic (which I can't quit reading about long enough to write) is Toxic Stress in Children (vulnerable populations). This is not my final proposal but it begins the dissertation phase and naturally then it will be revised before I present it to the IRB. I better get back on it because the course (and therefore my deadline is Friday at 4 PM Central - and not a minute later or my current professor will begin docking points off! I am unsure about a couple of items (dealing with the fine points of my methodology) so I might even become so bold as to try and reach you. I am headed to check out the Development Wisdom site you so thoughtfully mentioned.Warmest Regards,Amanda Nagle Chicoine, MBA, ACHECapella AmbassadorContact Info: MNa...@CapellaUniversity.edu amandan...@gmail.comPhone: (1)205-706-0227 (Cell)
