Cairo Scholars is an email list hosted by UTLists. All other lists or Facebook 
groups using the name are knock offs. Cairo Scholars is administered by 
Prof. Samer Ali, Arabic Literature, University of Texas at Austin. 

Terms of Use:
1. Individual members are responsible for abiding by terms of use, as well as 
simple etiquette. As a rule, if off-color comments and jokes are inappropriate 
in the workplace, they are inappropriate on CS.

2. Cairo Scholars is a non-commercial service to students, scholars and professionals
to facilitate living and working in Cairo, Egypt. Please, no promotions of your own 
commerce (such as retail goods, and tutoring, translation or research services), 
though others may personally recommend your products and services. 
Small scale, one-time or occasional sales are fine though:  You're welcome to 
post sales of used books and household items.

3. Please no anonymous messages. Place your first and last name in the sender 
line next to your address. The list is secure and moderated, so there is no need 
to hide identity in a safe community such as this.
