Hi, list

I was going through some rough times lately, and what I usually do in
such times is pick an open-source project of my choice and redesign its
logos, websites or whatever comes to mind. That's what I did with web.py
this time. It turned out rather well (yes, I do lack modesty, sorry), so
I thought I'd share it with you.

Enjoy!

I really like the header (logo, slogan), color sheme and font
selection. The menu and content could use some work.

Good job! :)

Yes, I agree some elements really need some work. I wanted to see how a
simplified, yet a much more prominent, menu would look like. I remember
having trouble locating some common items the first time I looked at the
current menu. As for content, yes, I have merely copied it, and not
given it too much thought...

I liked the design. Is it a fluid layout of fixed-width? How about
keeping the navigation after menu? It looks a bit odd to keep it on
the top.
I didn't like the subtitle though.

Can you make a html mockup of that so that I can convert that into a template?

By 'navigation', you mean the breadcrumbs at the top? "Home > Get it"?

> I didn't like the subtitle though.

Since it's part of the image, can you tell me what you want as a tag
line there? Or maybe just loose it?

> Can you make a html mockup of that so that I can convert that into a template?

Sure thing. I can make it a fluid design, which was my original intention.

Lets not have anything for now. We can add one when we find something better.

No, thank you. The pleasure is all mine. ;)

I don't like the new logo, and the old logo is the best:

I would simply call it "The pythonic web framework" (or anti-
framework...)

I wanted it to be something palatable, but not stupid. And also reflect
the quote that is posted on the homepage. That's why I used the
'handmade', and handwriting font.

Anand,

Did you get the HTML/CSS package I've sent you?

Yes. Thanks for that.

I'm planning to upgrade the software that is running webpy.org website. Will integrate your templates when doing the upgrade.
