Hey all,
I took the initiative here to book another meetup, to maintain
momentum. As an activity, let's hold a LAN Party!
As much as I'd love to play Minecraft, it costs money; and as much as
it is the perfect game for rationalists, I'm a little financially
challenged (If everyone else owns it, I'll consider it). But there are
alternatives!
-Starcraft 2 has a free "Starter Edition" that should satisfy most RTS
cravings. <

-Team Fortress 2. It's awesome. It's free. Why don't you have it?

All of the above, are free. Did I mention that? Show up with a laptop
installed with either of these games installed, and we'll set up a
Hamachi network <

download.aspx>.
If online play doesn't float your boat, then I'm bringing three (FREE)
board games: Apples to Apples, a game of comparisons (can get rather
hilarious; exercise your divergent thinking skills here), Settlers of
Catan, a strategic colonization of an island, and Takeover, an
emulation of the stock market. I've listed these in order of expected
popularity, which I believe is inversely related to their setup
overhead.
If no one shows up with anything then we'll default to the usual
intellectual meanders.
Cheers!
Kenneth
