Checking out v8 for 3.0.7 tag results in code that seems to be 3.0.6.1 version:

Could you check and fix the problem? Also, if it's really broken, could you improve the release process so thing like this can't happen?

Thank you. Do you have plans to improve the release process of v8?

I counted at least 6 glitches just in the last few months:

I'm going to change my tool that generates v8 tarballs to double-check version.cc. It would be nice if you could create a similar tool for v8 team that would tag a release only after verifying that version.cc matches the tag name.

Hi Mads,

May I ask if there is some formal known issue list about each version of V8? Thanks in advance!

There is a ChangeLog file in the V8 repository where we list the big
changes between revisions.
