Google Reader and the Open Web

This is a shameless self plug.
I've written a blog post seeing the outrage over the closing of Google
Reader. I've mentioned the unhosted movement, and raised some
questions regarding unhosted apps. I'd be interested to hear other
people's opinion, so I thought this is a good place to share.
