Hey guys,
As I demo'd at the unhosted conference, I've been working on a simple
video tagging/archiving app. I figured I'd go ahead and publish it on
5apps and announce that it's in a use-able state, even though it's not
feature complete. (for those of you keeping list of 'unhosted apps'
you could add this to the list).
I've created two modules, videos and global_tags, for the app to use.
Right now you can paste in a youtube video URL at the top of the app
and it automatically grabs the data and stores it. You can use the
tags module to tag videos. Tags show up on the left, but you can't
currently filter by tags (yet). The main benefits of this app right
now is that you maintain the meta-data of your favorite videos even if
they are deleted from youtube. Several times I have made a "youtube
playlist" of some favorites only to visit the list 6 months later and
see some "deleted" entries with no other information on what the video
was about.

Planned features... some are fairly grand and may take a while.
1. browser plugin, so when you're on a youtube page you can click the
vidmark plugin icon and it will archive the video, a popup would allow
quick tagging
2. filtering by tags
3. sorting by date
4. storing the video data itself in your remoteStorage so you no
longer rely on youtube to play it
5. publish 'public' video lists to your public remoteStorage area
6. publish/update youtube playlists from your vidmark videos
Any feature ideas, feedback or bug reports, welcome!
