We got several reactions to our call for full-time volunteers. After talking to everybody about their availability and ideas, I propose we choose Jan-Christoph Borchardt. http://jancborchardt.wordpress.com/

He's the guy behind libreprojects.org and is doing some groundbreaking work on usability of free software projects like diaspora, owncloud and unhosted.

Anyway, starting tomorrow, he will be dedicating himself full-time to our project! \o/ He still has to pick his job title, i think his current draft is 'user and developer experience ...' - with the '...' still to be filled in (he's not convinced yet about my suggestion of 'dictator' ;)

So to make this possible, i propose we pay him 1000 euros/month for living expenses out of the nlnet money, as well as pay for his tax, social security, public healthcare (Krankenkasse), a desk at a co-working space, on a monthly basis, until further notice. That will enable him to switch from part-time volunteer (which he already was) to full-time volunteer. we'll vote on the spending of donations money according to the statutes of our registered association, at the next general meeting, which will take place on Friday 9 September (our project birthday), let's say 8pm Unhošt' time, in the IRC channel.

If there are still other people who would like to increase their contributions to a full-time thing, you can always drop me an email, we can see what the possibilities are.

And Jan, congratulations! :)

Cheers,
Michiel
