ago. It has led to a Wikipedia entry being deleted about 'The Meow'

errant account holder will be dispensed with at the drop of a hat. It's
too much trouble for the ISP or new provider to handle multiple abuse
reports, their profit is slender enough as it is. Misbehaviour WILL not
be tolerated. See how Dugh lost his BT account on my complaint.
I love this response I got once from Telewest in the UK after a
well-honed abuse report about a pro-abuse newsserver. It said simply
"This user has been terminated'.

It always is. Very few people can mask their posting ID and even if they
use an anonymiser, they can often still be traced. Phone the anonymising
service using a 'WHOIS'.
I suggest 1899.com btw. 1p / minute to the USA. I've had an anonymiser
'knock off' a user after examining their posts. They don't exist for abuse,
merely freespeech. They use discretion.

Hmm. I'm not sure I agree with you at all. Usenet is something you have
to seek out and those who do generally know what they're letting
themselves in for. If you don't like it... well, you know the rest.
My view is, if you resort to getting someone's account terminated, it
means you've lost the argument and are doing the virtual equivalent of
throwing your toys out of your pram. Not good. Not good at all. :-(

Says who? Who are you apart from some self style usenet vigilante who
obviously needs to get out more? Also getting the account of some
eccentric old duffer like Doug terminated will have no comeback.
Others might not be so harmless however - there have been documented
cases of people turning up on doorsteps in the past due to discussion
group related incidents so you might want to tread carefully before
you continue with your online ninja turtle routine.

inappropriate groups for one thing and was being deliberately confrontational
for no good reason. I have little doubt that's why he lost his BT account.
I suggest you read up on Usenet charters ( do you know what they are ? ) and
ISPs' AUP and Ts&Cs.

You obviously never met them. Few MEOW still exist. They were the '12 yr
olds' or at least a normal person would probably infer that from their
behaviour. Since the wiki entry has now been removed I can't even give you a
simple primer but trust me they were a VERY nasty bunch of malignant posters
with infantile behaviour.

Had the annual beginning of season Scotch Corner meet for classic and
modified fords - 220 this year.
The organiser runs a capri forum so some of us met up and went for a

aimed at getting a response from the regulars in the group to share an idea.
