However, today in this NG there has been an avalanche
of disgraceful personal attacks coming from a number
of what appear to be Childish Broadcasters (CBers).
What do _YOU_ think?
Is this the way forward for Radio Hammery? Is this
the public face that you want to see presented for
your life's purpose?
Have we gained nothing by withdrawing away from the RSCB
and everything that its members and directors stand for?
Please join me in decrying the disgraceful behaviour
of one or two rather sillyand infantile miscreants. I am
sure that I do not need to tell you who they are; indeed, it
is quite likely that these Not-Ham characters will identify
themselves with some silly and childish response to
this appeal.
We think you need help!
A rather HAM fisted attempt to escape your ab...@network-i.net reports.
We think you need a check-up from the neck up!

I'd recommend 'Depakote' (divalproex sodium) from your doctor.
Its rather efficacious in manic episodes.
Ask for it by name!

Don't you realise how silly and ridiculous you make yourself
look, by indulging in what are essentially very infantile
abusive tirades in an international forum that is broadcast to
the whole world?
However, if you wish to be perceived as a Childish Broadcaster (CBer)
then just carry on as you are with your Childish Broadcasting (CB).
Grow up, Roger!
Stupid boy.
It is important that we as Radio Hams make a stand for
civilised behaviour and decency against the vile CBer,
no matter how he might have slipped into our midst.

Gentleman, my arse, I found this definition of a gentleman...
Definition of a Gentleman
Robert. Edward Lee
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The forbearing use of power does not only form a touchstone, but the manner
in which an individual enjoys certain advantages over others is a test of a
true gentleman.
The power which the strong have over the weak, the employer over the
employed, the educated over the unlettered, the experienced over the
confiding, even the clever over the silly--the forbearing or inoffensive use
of all this power or authority, or a total abstinence from it when the case
admits it, will show the gentleman in a plain light
The gentleman does not needlessly and unnecessarily remind an offender of a
wrong he may have committed against him. He cannot only forgive, he can
forget; and he strives for that nobleness of self and mildness of character
which impart sufficient strength to let the past be but the past. A true man
of honor feels humbled himself when he cannot help humbling others.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly, our halfwitted (and that is generous) friend displays none of those
characteristics, I do not claim to be a gentleman btw.

But you need him to confirm it with a QSL before it counts towards the

What an excellent reference.
Perhaps it should form part of the Counter-Weekly (NotFAQ), along with
the warning about the 'repair with gusto' criterion apparently being
acceptable only to transistorised QRP PA systems but not to anything
as complex as that of an FT101E.
That's the 'gentlemanly traditions' claptrap gone, as well as the
'repair with gusto' rubbish - both in the space of a few days!

Perhaps it is time, now that the Chrsitmas hols are upon us, to feel a
little sympathy for old Spike. He will now be ensconced in his little
room afraid to venture out. What a sad Christmas he will have ( and
deserve).
Lest we forget...here's what he said when confronted by two little
kids..

You, coming as you do from a background as a ship's radio

Indeed, it is difficult to see, in the light of your
well-demonstrated infantile disposition, how you could
ever have been the export sales manager for a well-
respected company sich as Wood & Douglas.
Shame on you. You should know better. What on Earth would Alan
Wood G4EEE think of the bad publicity you are visiting on
his company?
Grow up, Mike Gathergood!

There is hope for you, yet.
