Touch gesture support?

I was wondering if there is any planned support for more than simple
single-tap touches. It would be very useful to me if we could swipe a
table cell to bring up the delete button, or manipulate the picker and
date picker as a user would instead of calling methods directly on
those objects to get the behavior we want. Is this possible to
accomplish anytime soon?

Swipe support would be an interesting feature to add....just curious -
what are your thoughts on how the method call would look? Point
based?

Maybe something like:

[app swipeFromOrigin:startPoint toDestination:endPoint];
//where startPoint and endPoint are a CGPoint

Also we may need to provide a speed of swipe as well...thoughts?
