OT: Firefox issues

As the browser passes version 57, the danged thing begs for greater chip speed, memory, and video capability, which not all of us are lucky enough to have.

What tweaks are helping those of you that use it?

It eats memory like Chrome. I find I have to close it and reopen it at least twice a week.

Chrome is a bigger memory-hog than anything else I've stumbled upon, so much so that I tend to keep it closed unless I need it... I used to keep it up and running with Facebook and Gmail and Twitter windows, but after an hour or two I couldn't even watch a TV show on iTunes without massive lagtime.
