Brendan Carr, the rabid MAGA FCC chairman who has already accused ABC and CBS of "bias," has accused several NPR affils of alleged violations of rules regarding underwriting announcements (which most listeners would prefer over pledge drives) and attacked Audacy's KCBS Radio in SF for describing an immigration raid, has now said that continuing diversity, equity and inclusion policies will mean that he will block any attempts at mergers and acquisitions, including Paramount Global's merger with Skydance Media and Verizon's acquisition of Frontier Communications (screen shot of article behind pay wall):
