a new show called "Sam & Cat" featuring 19-year-old Ariana Grande and
20-year-old Jennette McCurdy as teenage babysitters.

Can anyone think of a spinoff that merged two different shows together

Only thing I can think of is a partial match at best. "Civil Wars" was a brief Bochco series and when it was canceled a few of the characters were absorbed into the final season of "LA Law" which had an almost entirely new cast at that point.

I was thinking of something similar - John Munch moving from Baltimore to Manhattan, and HLOTS to L&O:SVU (among others, but SVU as a regular).
