Just Jean's credit card machine, or our own 'square' reader * Emily already has one * Cash too * Does anyone have a cashbox we can use? A jar with a slit would work. * We will need change for raffle tickets - good to have a float * Stuart has sent the fundraising plan to Kevin Trinity St. Paul's * They have established a working group on climate change * They want to support the Do the Math screening * They have reserved a block of tickets, for which they will be charging a bit - they will be having an afterparty * The party will be an engagement session, with 5-6 ideas that people could take up: retrofitting their church, etc * Produce an action plan for the following year * They are considering an internal divestment campaign * One of their members is on the United Church investment board * They have large meetings every few years, which sometimes draw media attention * They will be attending the first screening * 1-2 representatives from 350 could attend their after-party They have affordable meeting space: large gym, large meeting room * Elizabeth May and Gwynne Dyer have spoken there before * Auditorium for 1200, available for $100 Recent article on divestment in Canada doesn't mention us at all: http://canadiandimension.com/articles/5546/ * https://twitter.com/GoFossilFree/status/382975481630310400 * We have consistently had trouble being in touch with Cameron Fenton and the CYCC None of the TV or radio shows we approached got back to us We will be doing some postering NOW! Magazine and Vitality Magazine will be including some ads Monica got contacted unprovoked by a CBC reporter Milan is back on The Green Majority on Friday * 11am to noon, CIUT 89.5 FM * Daryn will be doing a regular promo for the event Monica has large numbers of posters, but they need stickers T-shirts * If we want them, we need to order them ASAP * Emily has a design * We could buy them for about $10 and sell them for $20, but we would need to sell half of them to break even * Better to order t-shirts later, just to give to volunteers We should write a 30-second script for Bill McKibben * We don't yet have a video introduction * Stuart has tried emailing, but hit a "wall of silence" * Sending a script, or some bullet points, might prompt them into action * He could stress the opportunity for leadership on the part of U of T, which is in the brief The Do the Math committee should meet to sort out the small details * Could be after Rock the Line on October 6th 14) Rock the Line - Oct 6 We need a respectable table banner for this Monica is coordinating, Stu and Emily will be there Happening at Mel Lasdmen Square (spelling uncertain) * Afternoon event, 2pm - 5pm 15) Institute for Christian Studies School of about 50 students, not officially part of U of T * Their director of communications approached Stuart * All their investments are in mortgages * We can ask them to spread the word to people who could endorse the brief 16) Brief endorsements Flavius made a physical printout of the brief We have 69 endorsements electronically * We also have a few handwritten ones, about 30-35 Still no endorsements from administrative staff * We have library posters ready to go * We want to ask specific librarians if they would be willing to put them up in a break room, staff bulletin board, etc We need to keep reaching out to campus groups We haven't really reached out to UTSU or GSU - the campus student organizations * Dan made a spreadsheet of contacts 17) disOrientation workshop Milan can't meet Thursday or Friday, Stu is away all wekeend * The event is on Wednesday Milan and Stu will meet this Friday at 2pm at Massey 18) Next meeting Stuart will be absent Milan will try to book us a Hart House room Monica will chair Milan will be the note-taker
