Upgrade to 2.6.3 fails with "error with the new core code"

Hi Folks,

tryed out to update to the new 2.6.3 release and received the
following error message "error with the new core code".

My next step was to try the update with Internet Explorer 8. It seemed
to be properly working but after restarting my wiki I saw that all my
ä, ü and ö signs had been broken. What a pity. Then i had the idea to
try the update with an old portable version of Firefox. And suprise,
surprise it was a good idea. My wiki is up to date and my ä, ü and ö
signs are not broken. Hope that I could help a little bit. H
