anyhow, yahoo works for retrieving messages, but i am
getting the negative vibes message when i try to send email.
i have all the updated add ons, and the string that was suggested
to change (the user agent under config) already has the updated
text. is anyone else getting this error?
it only happens when i am sending email.
it connects to local host, but right before it sends...i get the
error.
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
negative vibes. Please check the message and try again."
i have yahoo's webmail set to the newer version, not classic.
as for posting a log, i am using 5 different account with webmail
(yahoo, hotmail and gmail etc) and the logs almost crash my notepad
application to open. also, there is like 20 logs just for opening
thunderbird. i wouldn't even know what part of the error message to
copy and paste here.
someone please help?
I don't know if it's due to the same problem I had a while ago, with
Yahoo webmail, while trying to send messages with secondary addresses.
Yahoo would tell me the message was sent but then I couldn't find it
anywhere (I have the option to save all sent messages) and it actually
never arrived. The problem I found was that Yahoo requested a human
intervention when sending a mail (typing a code) but would just do
that with the main yahoo account, not with a secondary address. Once I
found that and entered the code (I don't remenber the name in English,
sorry), it was fine again.
So maybe, Yahoo is requesting it and the negative vibes is the way
Thunderbird interprete it.
I suggest you connect to Yahoo webmail, and try to send a message with
the address you meant to, or with your main yahoo address.

I turned on logging, shutdown TB, and deleted all the logfiles (leaving
only the empty folder).
My plan was to restart TB and send the Webmail author the logifle, but
to my surprise, the send worked this time.
Go figure! LOL
