hotmail failing

as of this evening, hotmail is periodically giving a negative vibes.
When it does work, ot fails to delete the emails and downloads
duplicates. Was running fine for the past several months.

having a problem with is "marking as read" and deleting

Dear Webmail Author,

This morning I got the Negative Vibes message again.
Looking on the Hotmail inbox I found a message from Hotmail
advertising a new feature of flagging messages.
Deleting this flagged message the negative vibes disappeared but TB
says there are no new messages on the server.
It looks like this new feature screwed up the extension.
If you need I can send you the logs, just tell me to which address,
please.

You could try the following settings, without the use of any add-on extensions;



And please refrain from using negative statements. Which when used, you're less likely to receive help.
The Web-Mail add-on extension, as well as most other add-ons are provided for free (no money), and
the developers are not obligated to maintain or help end-users if they choose not to.
There might be other alternatives you could quietly search for. Good luck,

My account is in order (can read mail via POP on smartphone and via
web, and I have tried with new "flag" feature on the web both enabled
& disabled, as suggested elsewhere, but it didn't resolve anything.)

I use the webmail since some locations where I work block the POP

LOL... "My point is"...  The statement I replied to was: "It's been 11 days - should I look elsewhere for an email app for hotmail?Other solutions"
I'm simply sharing info that might be of assistance for that user (maybe others) in finding other solutions, if that user chooses.
Also, the link provides a wealth of info that could possibly be of use for others.

Since MSN (hotmail, live..etc.) made changes to the mail system, a WebMail-Hotmail fix is needed, and TB users have a "choice" while waiting for a fix.

I've been using Webmail extension for a few years now, never had issue
with more than one plug-in at a time. I think it funny that in my case
both yahoo and hotmail stopped working on same exact day. Almost like
microsoft and yahoo are in "cahoots" :)

I am had the stat error but the WM1.4.6 and HM1.3.8 have solved my problem; however, several users still had the problem so the webmail author released beta version for those.

You can try the following beta version of the hotmail.xpi that the webmail author released.
