Vinayaka Chavithi Subhaakankshalu.
This is Harika and I just joined this forum. I love to read and
explore new things. I am here to meet like-minded telugu people who
can be a part of my latest mission - to create the ultimate knowledge
portal about Telugu People/Andhra Pradesh with the help of the
community.
Along with some friends we recently created a new wiki (collaborativly
authored site that users and edit and add) exclusivly about Telugu
People/Andhra Pradesh. This is called Telugu Pedia
(www.telugupedia.com). This is similar to Wikipedia to focussed
exclusivly about Telugu People,
Telugu Literature, Telugu Films, Awards, Mandals in Andhra Pradesh and
more...
Do you think its a good Idea? Do you girls/guys support such an
effort? (By the way, we already crossed 1900 articles mark recently. )

This is Harika. Thanks for your info. I know te.wikipedia.org I am
facing font problem in my browser (firefox). te.wikipedia.org is top
wiki in telugu. I like wiki's te.wikipedia.org and telugupedia.com

I would say it is a good effort. The logo (Poorna Kumbham) is excellent.
I have one question, under what license does you take the contributions from the users. I did not find any such license information. Hope it will be GFDL.
I also hope that it wont be a mere mirror for the telugu related pages from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
use the telug...@googlegroups.com, for wiki related queries.

to the existing information in english wikipedia..you would be better
off with a mirror isn't it?? say like answers.com..probably that way
you can present information about a andhra related topic not only from
english wikipedia..but also from various other sources including
telugu wikipedia.
regarding telugu wikipedia..it is a telugu information source and it
would be remain that way because generating information in telugu is
it's goal.. not just information..but we are open for collaboration in
any level with other like minded projects.
