Football Games and the Upcoming competition

Boosters,
Thank you to all who helped this past Tuesday with concessions and the
pit. We do need to address football game and competition protocols.

We do ask for volunteers and compile a list for a reason. The only
Booster members who can enter football games without tickets are those
who have signed up to work concessions or a specific job with the
band, ie pit or chaperoning. If your name is not on our list, you have
to pay full price for your ticket. Also, we are not able to allow
children in free, even if you are volunteering. If you have family
members who want to help, they too have to be on our list. Chaperones
and Pit workers are to check in at the Band room, Concessions workers
will check in at the gate and concession stand. If you are not on the
list to work, you will not be allowed in without the purchase of a
ticket.

All of the competitions are very similar in protocols. Each band is
only allowed an set number of free passes and of those, only a set
number of pit workers. You must sign up as a volunteer and be on that
list to get into a competition with a free pass. NO children can
accompany you, only the person signed up as a volunteer can enter on
the pass. If we have too many sign up, preference is given to
experience, as in some competitions part of the score includes set up
and take down.

Here is the list for the Competition in Hickory this weekend. The
volunteer slots are full at this time.

Here are the volunteers we have, thus far, for the next football game,
Sept 30, 2011. This game is homecoming, it is the biggest and best
attended game of the season. We play PA, who also tend to bring a good
sized crowd. We will need a lot more help with concessions and at
least 3-4 more PIT volunteers. Remember, if you are not on the list,
you WILL have to purchase a ticket to get into the game.
