More than one user has reported off list that there
are problems with 404 warnings installing RStan 1.2.0,
which look as follows

> install.packages('rstan', type = 'source')
> Warning in install.packages :
> cannot open: HTTP status was '404 Not Found'
...

Despite the warning, RStan 1.2.0 seems to install and run
OK.

I'm not an R expert, so I'm just posting this to our
lists in the hope that somebody can diagnose the issue.

Users have reported this using Windows 7 and Mac OS X.

I did not get the warnings when I installed it.

For those who came across this issue, please provide us some more details including
* the version of R
* R-Gui, R from the command line, or RStudio (which version)
* Operating system (Mac, Linux, or Windows)

If we are able to reproduce this problem, we could figure out what is the cause though I don't think it is a problem with rstan 1.2.0.

It happened to me.  I'm using RStudio on Mac, it's R version2.15.2, Rstudio version 0.97.306.  As I said, it compiled ok, just gave those ugly warning and error messages.
