Hi all,
I am coming back to TG after a long break. Previously I used Elixir
with TG1 but I don't see many references to it with TG2 when I search
the Elixir & TG groups. I've been using Elixir recently in a desktop
app and would love to continue to use it with TG2 if it is pretty
straightforward. Any words of advice, warning or encouragement?

Thanks,
Eric

I have been using Elixir with TG2 for a long time now without any
issues. There is a patch somewhere on the TurboGears bug tracker to
enable Elixir in the "quick start" templates, but its mostly
straightforward. Let me know if you need any help, and I'll see if I can
help you get rolling.

Hi,
Thanks for the offer. Is this the patch you were thinking of?:

Anything that you can recall doing beyond applying the patches?

Alex Bodnaru if you are out there, where you able create a package
for Elixir?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi,
I played with the changes in the ticket and was actually able to
quickstart using Elixir. However, after reading this:

http://groups.google.com/group/turbogears-trunk/browse_thread/thread/d343781e61da34fb

and since I am working with 2.1, I decided to revert the changes and
stick with plain SQLAlchemy. It appears that 2.1 is going a different
way as mentioned by Chris at the bottom of http://trac.turbogears.org/ticket/2293
and one of the files (websetup.py_tmpl) doesn't exist in 2.1 anymore.

Still curious if Alex continued working on Elixir integration...

Thanks,
Eric
