OpenERP looks promising. There´s a module (esale_spree) to connect with Spree and download products, categories and orders.

Cheers,
Olaf

Thanks, will check it out.
Found one more - Open Warehouse, it stores it's data in mysql and can work cross-platform.

Let us know how you find OpenERP.
We are just starting to look into open source ERP systems, a few have come to our attention.

http://adempiere.org/home/ also looks good.  Lacks a Spree drop in like OpenERP. Though probably not the worst thing in the world to code given Sprees API.

It is very huge for my needs, and there are tons of work for adapting it to work accoridng to my country laws and rules.

Which country are you targeting? OpenERP is developed by an originally Belgum company, so in theory should be EU friendly. Though they seem to have worked hard to internationalise it.  From what i;ve seen it might have a lot of reconfigurability through XML files for the interface.

OpenERP does look huge.  I think you could spend weeks or months just learning it.
I have a gut feeling it is worth the time in learning how to configure / setup, for us at least.

A lot of these large apps are like learning a programming language in itself.

Russia.
As long as i could see there is very small community in Russia working with it,  when i will have some time i will probably invest it in learning OpenERP.

We're using opentaps (http://www.opentaps.org/) as our ERP. Right
now, we only have very basic integration between Spree & opentaps, but
we plan to continue working on it.

IMO, opentaps is much more user-friendly than openERP. They're on
gitorious at: http://gitorious.org/opentaps

Antony,

We are considering investing money into an Opentaps connector. We're looking for someone who knows Java enough build out a module on the Opentaps side so we can do full duplex information exchange. Could you tell us a little more about the setup you have going right now?

Hey Denis,

Let's talk about this as we're heavily invested in opentaps and would
be happy to help finance something like what you want. Our
integration is very basic at the moment. We treat each Spree store as
an account in Opentaps. Then we pass the orders from Spree into
opentaps and also pass shipment tracking #s back to Spree when the
order ships.

We do not sync products or accounts at the moment. If you want more
sophisticated integration I'd recommend working with the opentaps dev
team. They're super nice guys and easy to collaborate with. We've
been working with them for 2 years now and I'd be happy to put you in
touch. They did something similar to what you want with Magento
already so I think they'd find it easy to build this for Spree too.

Anyways, if you'd like to talk this over we're available.

Anthony
