Don't mistake Take Off for a plant growth hormone that affects a limited aspect of plant growth, such as cell elongation. Take Off is different - it works inside the plant, not on the nutrients in the soil as is the case with many other products. 

This creates a faster running system inside the plant, which increases carbon fixation and metabolism, fueling faster plant growth and the ability to capture more nutrients from the soil. In turn, this technology enhances how the plant uses other nutrients such as phosphorus and sulfur, delivering increased plant vigor, growth and productivity.

Take Off works well in combination with nitrogen (N) managers such as NutriSphere-N® or controlled release forms of N. As the N manager works to keep more of the applied N available in the soil, Take Off works from inside the plant to increase N uptake and utilization. Pairing the two technologies will increase the return on fertilizer investments by maximizing N utilization.

As Take Off increases carbon fixation and metabolism, it stimulates N uptake and utilization. This allows the plant to create more biomass (roots and shoots) to access more nutrients in the soil. Take Off doesn't just build a bigger root system; it helps build the entire plant.

As the plant continues its growth processes such as photosynthesis and root development, more nutrients are utilized. More N utilization results in larger stalks and leaves, faster and denser canopy development, and optimum yield potential. Larger, healthier plants are able to catch more sunlight, take up more nutrients and more easily fend off yield-limiting stressors.

Yield-limiting stressors can impact productivity from year to year, especially when Mother Nature gets involved. Take Off can give crops the best chance of performing when faced with challenging situations. As long as there is nitrogen available for the plant to take up, Take Off will benefit plant growth.

Take Off can be applied as a seed treatment or with foliar or soil applications commonly timed with post-emergence herbicide, insecticide and fungicide applications. When applied in sequential foliar treatments, Take Off enhances plant vigor. Sequential applications of Take Off have been shown to increase root length by 19 percent and result in earlier development of secondary roots on corn, as well as increase root development and nodulation on soybeans, and increase winter wheat yields by 7-10 Bu./A.
