Ancient Matriarchy entitled: '***Gender: "thanks for the fish"'. This post
follows onto one about Navajo indians worshipping spider-woman. Anyway, here

Hard to know where to start - maybe, Matriarchal-Anthro 101, it is rather
easy to tell a patriarchal site: walls; barracks for troops; prisons; and
a temple to a male deity ... matriarchal site: no walls, no prisons, barracks;
and exceptional plumbing (no matter how ancient, better than the original
White House or Versaille) healing center and a temple to a Goddess ...
Conclusion, life is safer for children and everyone of there is a societal
focus on matriarchy/Goddess.

bas-reliefs, figurines related to deity/spirituality - if paint was used,
it was red, universal symbol for life/deity/etc. - all were Goddesses - all
more sophisticated than most of today's spiritual art ... and ONE charcoal
sketch of a male shaman in a horned ritual/hunting gear (the scholars knew
even then, that charcoal was used to example mortal matters, hunting scenes
etc. etc. - instead - they looked at the 2,000 examples of Goddess and the
one example of a mortal shaman - and declared to the world - DUALITY !!!

Such is an overview - too fast - but a starter - beyond that, is personal
belief in deity - and I have not gone there since I was a Methodist minister.

Yikes. Where would we start? Every sentence would need some
significant paragraphs to invalidate.

There were an alarmingly large number of replies agreeing with this. One, to be
precise. And the disagreements were of the "I disagree, but you're probably
right anyway because I'm a coward" variety.
