In 1910, they're in Summers co WV
In 1880, they're in Raleigh co. WV
/Where/ are they in 1900! I don't see them at HeritageQuest
and I don't find them on pilot.familysearch
Thanks!
Cheryl
I searched Ancestry.com and was unable to find them in the 1900 census
and none of the Public Member Trees that had this family have any record
for them in the 1900 census.
If you could find any records on their youngest child Virginia M. Harper
born about 1900 you might be able to find where they were located.
Another "I can't read the original, so I'll make a guess" error,
although I would have guessed the name as 'Carper' from the original
document.

Thanks for looking; at least now I know it wasn't just me!

And Jennie when she marries. :(
Thanks!
Cheryl
I too see CARPER, but then I'm familiar with a Carper family. :(
The first letter looks like nothing else on the page either
-- not like the H in Hubert in the same family, and not like
the C in Charles or the one in Cecil on the next page, and
NOT like the H on that page either!
If you could read what month ol' William T was born, you're
better'n I am!
Cheryl
They are probably in Summers County, cuz that's where Virgilia was
born in 1900, per familysearch's cite of West Virginia Births,
1853-1930. At least that's a clue, since William and Jane are
associated with Virgilia May in other familysearch hits including the
1910 Census. HTH
>Thanks!
Ya welcome. It was fun doing the search, whether or not it's the
right information.

I might've guessed one of 'em would go and have a birth
record! I don't have much luck with those on this line. :(
As for whether it's right -- I'm going with, it smells like
a duck, walks like duck, looks like a duck, maybe it ISN't a
chicken.
