Mecca Masjid blast: 2 RSS men remanded in custody
RSS men remanded in custody

The long-pending investigations into the three-year-old Mecca Masjid
blast case on Thursday moved forward with the Central Bureau of
Investigation producing two suspects RSS pracharak Devender Gupta and
his accomplice Lokesh Sharma in a special CBI court in Hyderabad.
14th additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate remanded the two to the
judicial custody till June 30. A CBI team brought the two from Ajmer
jail on a prisoner transit warrant after the CBI submitted a memo to
Hyderabad court that Devender Gupta, Lokesh Sharma and two other
absconders were wanted in connection with the Mecca Masjid blast.
The Nampally criminal court complex was turned into a fortress by
deploying a large number of policemen inside and outside the complex.
All the gates were sealed and armed policemen were also deployed on
the vantage points as part of the strict security arrangements for the
suspects.

The CBI had sought the assistance of the local police to provide
security to the duo in view of the serious threat to their lives.
The CBI was scheduled to bring Devender Gupta and Lokesh Sharma on
Monday but security concerns during transit caused the delay.
Devender Gupta and Lokesh Sharma, prime accused in bomb blast in Ajmer
Dargah were in Ajmer jail for the last one and a half months.
CBI sources said that they will seek the custody of Gupta and Sharma
to question them about their role in the bomb blast in Mecca Masjid on
May 18, 2007. 15 people were killed in the blast during Friday
congregation and subsequent police firing.
CBI says that it was on the look out for two more suspects Sandeep
Dange and Ramachandra Kalasangar alias Ramji.

Cops find proof of Madani's involvement in B'luru blasts

The Bengaluru [ Images ] police say they have enough proof about the
involvement of People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani in
planning the serial blasts in Bengaluru that claimed two lives on July
25, 2008.
According to the charge-sheet filed by the city police, Madani
attended a crucial meeting along with terror suspect T Nasir in Coorg,
250 kms from Bengaluru, to plan the serial blasts.
The chargesheet further states that Nasir, who was arrested near the
Bangladesh border, was the mastermind behind the blast, and he was
helped by Madani.
The police have registered nine cases in connection to the blasts and
ten terror suspects have been arrested.
According to the charge-sheet, the controversial PDP leader from
Kerala [ Images ] had traveled to Madapur in Coorg, where Nasir was
working at a ginger plantation. The chargsheet alleges that Madani
assured Nasir of all possible help in carrying out the blasts.
Nasir met Madani again after the blasts, says the charge-sheet. Nasir
had arranged for 2,500 riyals for the terror attack, indicating that
the funding might have come from Saudi Arabia, according to the charge-
sheet.
The police suspect that Abdul Sattar, another prime suspect in the
Bengaluru blasts, arranged for the funding.
Madani has been booked for waging war against the state and concealing
information. But sources in the city police say that the non-bailable
warrant against him is yet to be executed.
"We are waiting for the right moment since we don't want to trigger
communal tensions during his arrest. But Madani's arrest is certain,"
added sources in the police.

Dear Shaikh. You always been a very good person that why i take time
to explain what i know. All these things are allegations he has made.
In the initial stage of the trail the same thing which is mentioned in
ur comment happened. But after that the trial was very transparent. No
charge sheet has been submitted to him is only becoz of the pressure
from the Congress Govt of Kerala who is having Muslim League an
important allie. Several Kerala congress leaders including present
leader of opposition met him in Jail to seek his support in the
elections and promising his release. Now all the charges against him
dropped not becoz he is innocent. It is becoz of the pressure from
LDF(CPM) Govt on TN Govt forced his release.
