Hi All,

Simple Invoices 2006 09 18 has been release !!

I had alot of fun over the weekend hacking on Simple Invoices, this
release rounds up the work on 'Client Accounts" and introduces to new
terms into the use of Simple Invoices.

The main features of this release is the concept of invoice 'Age' and 'Aging'
- Invoice 'Age' is used to define how long the invoices has gone
unpaid for. ie. If you created an invoice on the 1st of the month, at
the 21st of that month if that invoice was not paid in full, the
invoice age would be 21 days
- 'Aging' indicates how long the invoice has been unpaid for. The
possible values for this field are 0-14, 15-30, 31-60, 60-90, and 90+.
If the invoice was created on the 1st of the month, at the 21st of
that month if the invoice still had not been made in full the invoice
'Aging' would be in the 15-30 days group.

If the invoice has been paid in full then the 'Aging' field will be blank.

Why use Aging groups? This help you quickly see where your invoices
are at in terms of how long they have gone without being paid in full.
But why? because the more of the invoices that are older and unpaid
represent cash you don't have. If to many of your invoices are getting
on in age then you may start to have cash flow issues - you don't want
this.

other additions:
Debtors reporting: There is now a Debtors section in the Reports menu
with 4 new reports to allow you to invoice of different debtor
figures. ie. how is owed to you and is in which 'aging' period - 30
days etc..

On a lighter note:
If you want to see some bad a$$ sql check out
- report_debtors_aging_total.php
- report_debtors_by_aging.php
these queries took my ages - learnt alot about sql and had stacks of
fun doing them :)

Other News;
hopefully now the release onto sourceforge wont be stuffed up like
over the last week, guess who used zip -R instead on zip -r to create
the simpleinvoices.zip files, me :) - this -R meant that the files in
the sub directories weren't not included in the release - -abit
embarrassing

as always you can grab your copy from our sourceforge download page
