Unfortunately it is true that the docs have not kept up with the software.

Best bet is to use the examples.

I had the same issue...for the lower band I used: "overview:true,"
instead of showEventText: false.  I think the new code and tutorial
are not quite in sync with each other.

        trackGap:      0.2,
