Hi everyone,

I learnt to code back when I was living in San Diego in 2014, thanks to the support of the SD Ruby community (thanks Rob, Ben & Etienne), and a couple of years later, the company I cofounded, Loomly, is taking off and we are looking to expand our team (we are currently 8), with three new openings, including this one.

I would love to be able to give back and have someone from the community join us.

Where we are going

At Loomly (www.loomly.com), we are democratizing social media expertise & services to empower every one to stand out from the crowd. This journey started with building the best social media planning solution on the market. Now, the real fun begins. Join our small, fast-growing team and see what is next.

What we offer

We are a US company and we are building our core team here in Los Angeles, California. For you, that means: awesome teammates, work/life balance & meaningful work. Along with a competitive package and cool perks, of course. Remote is an option for California-based candidates.

Your responsibilities

We’re looking for a Full-time Senior Ruby Developer to contribute to building our core product. As we grow, you will have the chance to work on every aspect of an evolving product, from scaling existing features to extending and building exciting, new features. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our loyal customers and their happiness.

Your qualifications

  • Deep understanding and real-world experience building and maintaining complex Ruby On Rails applications, with PostgreSQL & Sidekiq.
  • Proven ability to jump into an established codebase and make meaningful contributions immediately, as well as to learn new programming skills quickly.
  • Strong background in building a RESTful API and integrating external APIs.
  • Proficiency with front-end development languages & libraries including HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery & ReactJS.
  • Track record of writing well-tested code with RSpec and Capybara.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple disciplines including product, engineering, customer service & marketing, and ability to structure thoughts clearly & succinctly in written form for consumption in an asynchronous workplace environment.
  • Bonus: experience building complex user interfaces for web (with ReactJS) and/or mobile applications (iOS & Android) and/or DevOps skills (preferably with AWS).
Your competencies

We value efficiency, integrity, attention to detail, effective communication, and following through on commitments. You will feel right at home if you’re proactive, enthusiastic about your work, and driven to learn and improve every day.

How to apply

Send us some samples of your work (GitHub, StackOverflow, portfolio) at car...@loomly.comand let us know in a short paragraph why you would like to join the Loomly team and how you can contribute to our long-term goals

Hey all,

Just wanted to jump in here and mention that I've been working with Loomly for over two years, and can honestly say it's been awesome. Thibaud and the rest of the team are great to work with, we're building some cool stuff, and we care about code quality and well-engineered solutions to problems.

Ben

Does Loomly need any Dev Ops support?
