Roberts Roberts now you and your brother Andersen will have to explain
why the Doppler shift is so radically different from the gravitational
redshift where, as a message of yours of Jan 19 2008 implies, the
SPEED OF LIGHT and the FREQUENCY are shifted whereas the wavelength
remains constant:

Now Roberts Roberts if you and your brother Andersen want to make the
Doppler shift and the gravitational redshift analogous, then both of
you should declare explicitly that Einstein's 1911 equation c'=c(1+V/
c^2) is wrong, both of you should replace it with the "true" equation
c'=c (that is, the speed of light is CONSTANT in a gravitational
field), and finally both of you should declare, solemnly, that for
both the Doppler shift and the gravitational redshift:

"the two shifts are such that
speed = frequency * wavelength
remains constant."

Paul Andersen: "Einstein himself obviously 'declared the equation
wrong'
in 1916 when he published GR. Einstein was wrong in 1911. He corrected
it in 1916. Why do you find this so hard to accept? Don't you think
Einstein ever could be wrong? :-)"
