WEEKLY TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY #35: MARCH 29 - APRIL 5, 1992

North Atlantic Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Eastern North Pacific Basin (E of 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Central North Pacific Basin (180 Deg. W to 140 Deg. W):

Tropical Storm Hali: At the beginning of the summary, Hali was moving
west-northwest with 45 kt. This turned out to be the peak intensity. Rapid
weakening then developed, and Hali dissipated on 30 March near 7N 176W.

Western North Pacific Basin (W of 180 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Special Western North Pacific Update: Further information on Typhoon
Ruth has been recieved in the Weekly Climate Bulletin:

Typhoon Ruth (Weekly Summaries #12 & 13): At least 44 people were killed
when Typhoon Ruth hit Luzon Island in the Philippines.

North Indian Ocean Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Special North Indian Ocean Update: Further information on Tropical Cy-
clone 04B has been recieved in the Weekly Climate Bulletin:

Tropical Cyclone 04B (Weekly Summary #15): Five people were killed and
20,000 were rendered homeless when Tropical Cyclone 04B made landfall near
Pondicherry on the east coast of southern India.

South Indian Ocean Basin (W of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.

South Pacific Ocean Basin (E of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.
