WEEKLY TROPICAL CYCLONE SUMMARY #194 APRIL 16 - 23, 1995

North Atlantic Basin: No tropical cyclones.

Eastern North Pacific Basin (E of 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Central North Pacific Basin (180 Deg. W to 140 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

Western North Pacific Basin (W of 180 Deg. W): No tropical cyclones.

North Indian Ocean Basin: No tropical cyclones.

South Indian Ocean Basin (W of 135 Deg. E): No tropical cyclones.

South Pacific Ocean Basin (E of 135 Deg. E):

Tropical Cyclone Agnes (TC-22P): Tropical Cyclone Agnes formed near 12S
148E on 17 April. Initially drifting south-southeast, the system became
quasi-stationary near 13S 148E the next day as it reached hurricane strength.
Agnes then remained stationary through 20 April. The storm reached a peak
intensity of 110 kt on 19 April, then it weakened through 21 April when it
dropped to tropical storm strength. Agnes started drifting north-northeast on
21 April, and it drifted north on 22 April as it weakened to a depression.
The cyclone dissipated later that day near 9S 147E.
