I found this site: Artists Against 419 on Google and as a victim of
the 419 Nigerian Scam I asked for the help of these people. They asked
me to send them 4000 USD by Western Union on the name of Gonez Lapuah,
as payment for their services. I did and never heard of them before. I
am posting this here, for everybody to see.Beware!!!
I am on a wheelchair from the First Gulf War, and now all my savings
are gone to this scammer. Please don't fall for this scam. Fight
against this fraud site. http://wiki.aa419.org/index.php/Main_Page

Apparently, you are the only person on the planet
who hasn't heard of a 419 scam.

I was wondering who'd bite. Think about it:

(1) The guy says he was a victim of a 419 scam.
(2) Then he gets scammed by a bunch of people who are supposedly
helping to fight 419 scams... a scam that should have raised a whole
field of red flags to someone who JUST GOT SCAMMED THE SAME WAY.
(3) He posts his sob story to a newsgroup that is openly hostile to
ignorance, let alone stupidity... AND TO NO OTHERS, at least none that
I can find in Google Groups.

This is some kind of sick joke, or a spammer hoping to get lots of
email replies, or a 419 scammer trying to discredit that website, or
has some motivation beyond my limited powers of comprehension. I
wouldn't take it at face value. None of these explanations makes any
sense except possibly the "sick joke".

course you are... why would u send money to someone you never heard
of.

your bad construct and misuse of words would indicate that english is
not your first language - which makes your assertion you are "on" a
wheelchair or that you are a gulf-war veteran highly unlikely.

Why would they demand US dollars from someone in Spain? BTW, "the
First Gulf War" was actually called DESERT STORM". Did you forget
that? No real solider I've known could ever forget the proper name of
the war where he was disabled, unless a bullet went though his brain.

Reality check. This guy is just throwing mud at AA419, hoping that
people are dumb enough to believe him. Here is independent
confirmation of who the bad guys really are:-

http://www.blindside.org.uk/2007/03/21/the-problem-of-fraud-websites/

http://www.legalaffairs.org/issues/March-April-2006/scene_Rosenblum_marapr06.msp

http://www.caveat.net/blog/2005/05/on-line-vigilantes-taking-on-internet.html

You can't always trust what you see on the internet. Basically, the
people whose fraudulent activities get targetted are running a
campaign of disinformation against AA419 by throwing mud. Thing is,
AA419 will never ask you for money. That's not how they work. If you
want to help try running the Lad Vampire or Muguito:-

http://aa419.org/vampire/ladvampire.php

http://muguito.aa419.org/

Either tool will do the trick. Just leave them running when you're not
using your PC.
