products image thumbnails custom sizes

Dear all,

first, thank you for making this incredible tool available to the community!

As this email subject mention, I have a question about automatically
generated thumbnails sizes for products (and others in fact): I did
not found how/where to customize different sizes for products in
satchmo documentation. Any help would be warmly appreciated :p

You should be able to customize these by overriding the templates.
See Django's template loader documentation[1][2] and the docs for Sorl
Thumbnail v3.2.x[3], which is what Satchmo uses to handle thumbnail
resizing in templates.

Great! Thank you for the answer.

I thought i needed to customize pre-generated thumbnails sizes via the
templates of the admin interface. Hence, just to be sure, that I have
completely understood the way sorl works, thumbnails will be
generated on-the-fly and stored in the django CACHE, but the
corresponding image file will not be stored in my MEDIA directory?

Thumbnails are generated on the fly as needed, but are stored on disk
in your MEDIA directory so that they do not have to be re-generated on
subsequent calls unless the parent image has changed.
