Please find enclosed the letter that is being sent to the NAC
Chairperson and Members today as the intensive process of drafting the
law on the National Food Security Act, begins today the 11th November.
The campaign disapproves and rejects the minimalistic framework that
was decided upon by the NAC in its last meeting on the 23rd of
October. It has urged the members to once again reconsider its
decisions.
Please read the letter, get it translated into as many languages and
circulate it as widely as possible. Please send it to as many networks
as possible and also release it to the media in all your states.
We are planning an action week from 22nd to 26th November in Delhi. In
this week we will meet many MPs, political party leaders, interact
with the media beginning 22nd. So as many of you can come to Delhi
then please be there from 22nd. The dharna outside the parliament will
be on the 25th and 26th of November. WE have to be there in large
numbers for this. The details of what we will do while we are in the
dharna will be sent later.
Hoping to see you in Delhi in very large numbers on the 25th and 26th
and awaiting your response.
Regards
Kavita Srivastava
