This is a discussion list for the ROS special interest group on Geographic Information Systems. 

The focus is on applications of GIS technology to robotics. We mainly focus on defining common interfaces and best practices, so various classes of drivers and applications work consistently with other ROS components. Please join us if you are interested and wish to contribute.

Appropriate topics include: satellite navigation systems like GPS, cartography, geodesy and geographic coordinate transformations.
