We suffer occasionally from widespread ‘kicks’ of our users from the system. Essentially they still have a session going, but the one they are using goes bad forcing a relog in. Once they re-authenticate they have to kill the last session, and then can go back to work.

Anyone have any ideas about this? RD support was not helpful with this in the past.

We've been experiencing the same issue on 9.0.1.29, with increasing
frequency. I haven't found a set of steps to reproduce it, but it
seems to happen more frequently when there is moderate system activity
(editors and/or publishing).

We just had this problem when we upgraded to verion 9.0.1.84 from
9.0.0.27.

We use an Oracle database and increased our database parameters for
processes from 50 to 150 and sessions from 60 to 120. We tested the
upgrade on only one server and it worked fine but when we applied the
upgrade to our clustered environment it was dropping connections.
Using the content import manager plugin with only one other user in
the system takes 58 processes alone.

We brought up the issue with support that this should really have been
flagged as a requirement for the upgrade. Very shoddy QA in my
opinion.

We have had this issue since 6.0 and support has always told us that
we just have to deal with it. We get 'kicked' out about once a day.

Check the settings for Worker Process Recycling in IIS.
