Tryout Camp
The Des Moines Dragons invite you to participate in an International Basketball
Association (IBA) free agent tryout camp to be held in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania on October 3-4, 1998 at the Ridley Junior High School (15 minutes
from Philadelphia International Airport at Free & DuPont in Ridley Park, PA).
The Dragons inaugural season was extremely successful, posting a 22-12 record,
setting several IBA attendance records, and being named the 1997-98 IBA
“Organization of the Year.” In addition, the Dragons were highly involved in
the Des Moines community, working closely with local youth groups. The
Dragons’ organization will demand no less for the 1998-99 season.
Several IBA players have been called up to the CBA and NBA in the past three
seasons. The IBA has also been extremely successful in placing many of its
players in overseas leagues. The Dragons alone placed four out of five
starters from the 1997-98 squad with international teams.
If you are a hard-working, dedicated professional basketball player who wishes
to excel as a team player and improve your individual skills while looking for
the stage on which to be seen by the CBA, European Leagues and NBA scouts, then
we welcome your interest in joining the Des Moines Dragons. Please fill out

Camp Cost: $95 per player. Payable by cash or money order (made payable to
InfoSport, Inc.), in advance or at the door.
