i read the rec.skiing news group a bit...the main problem was not that
they had a ton of flame wars, but that they took their war out of the
news group and into real life (RL) . they caused one person to lose a
job, filed an admittedly false police report, and generally harrassed
each other (stalking). in my opinion they were all in the wrong but i
think that the guy that got banned was the one who was wronged in the
first place,hewas just defending himself in the begining....anyways at
least we don't have that stuff happen here....

I'm having more fun here in Deland than ordinary people should be
allowed to have. And much to my utter dismay, John LeBlanc is not the
devil incarnate, but, in fact, quite a terrific guy.
Whoever thought I'd have something nice to say about PD? Well, I'm
saying it: those of its number that I have met are some really
wonderful people, and they test the bejeezus out of their canopies.

I'm really happy here. Who'd'a thunk it?
I wish I had an opportunity to post more, but I'm not very often near
the computer. I miss you all, and I do answer e-mail (mostly), but the
volume of the newsgroup has finally gotten the better of me.
HOWEVER, the weather is wonderful here, and this is a great dz, and you
all should come and visit this winter. You'll have an awesome time.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good flame war just as much as the next person.
But when some wanker goes out of his way and spends a lot of time and money
to find out where you live, then posts your address and phone number on the
internet and invites all the wierdos and whacko's around to come and pay you
a visit (and also after stating that he could enter my property and house at
any time he wishes to and I couldn't do anything about it), it's time to
either (1) kill him, or (2) make it impossible for him to keep
harrassing/threatening me.
I personally would have gone for option #1, but the laws are a bit funny
nowadays and since I've given up my uniform and my gun, I'm not supposed to
do it anymore :-(
Bearing in mind that this was also the wanker that stated on the internet
(after a home invasion here in Brisbane where a 13 yo girl was raped at
gunpoint) that it wouldn't have affected her too much and that's what women
were designed for anyway, to allow men to stick their dicks into.
My partner and her two daughters didn't feel particularly safe after those
comments where made by him.

No longer engaged. Single. On my own...and staying that way for a
little while, at least. :)
As for the enraged part...I wasn't...but I supported it for a few
months...and to those I may have offended or hurt by doing so (not

Not at all painful. But there's not much to tell. Yuri and I broke up,
