Here it is folks. The Underwater Photography Mailing List.
I have included a description of the mailing list at the
end.
This list is new, and so am I to maintaining it. Some of
the information files are rough, but they will become neater
over time. Please be patient with problems that may arise
and do not hesitate to drop suggestions/comments/problems
to me. Mail them to uw-phot...@exodus.pht.com.

** A brief blurb on UW-PHOTO **
The UW-PHOTO mailing list is devoted to discussing
all aspects of underwater photography. Topics in
UW-PHOTO can include equipment, video, schools,
techniques, and even showing off.
Some topics to consider are (borrowing this from someone):
Housed versus underwater cameras
Autofocus versus manual
Macro versus fish
Photo locations
Lens types and preferences
Schools e.g. Cathy Church

Some features of the list processor include the choice
between a digest and the standard mail style (default).
You can search past mailings for a given subject and
retrieve the information. Plus other features that may
or may not be handy. Send "help" in the main body of an
email to list...@exodus.pht.com to learn more
about the list processor (note: some commands may be disabled).

An anonymous ftp site has been donated for our use.
It is: ftp://exodus.pht.com/pub/uw-photo/
If you would like share something with the rest of the
community, and it is related to underwater photography,
please feel free to place it at the site. The only
stipulation is that there must be a description that
goes along with the item. To place an object on the
ftp site, Place all incoming material in /pub/uw-photo/incoming.
Don't forget the description file! Files without a
description will be deleted.
A daily digest of the mailing list is also archived on the
ftp site. You can find them in /pub/uw-photo/digest.
Due to the infancy of UW-PHOTO, things are not static.
Please be patient. If you see a problem that needs to
be corrected, or see a way to make something better,
drop a note to uw-phot...@exodus.pht.com.
