Long LoopStick Antenna for MW DXing ?

Antenna is wound on a Three (3) Foot Length of PVC pipe. This "Long
LoopStick Antenna" has an Air Core. Claims to 'improve' AM Radio
reception without using a long wire or ground. Seems to be like a
kind of 'Tuned' BroomStick Antenna for the AM/MW Band that is
positioned Horizontally and Rotated for Directivity. (Vice Standing
Vertical and being Omni-directional.)

Has anyone built and used one of these?

If so, what were your results?

I made something like that a while back as a test when I was making
different MW loops. It works ok, but I prefer a regular "small loop"
of a larger size. But for casual use, the "PVC" wound loop with quite
a few turns worked fine. I ended up sticking with my round 16 inch
loop with 12 turns as my "everyday MW antenna".
